Established in 1952, Hall & Baum has grown from humble beginnings into one of South Australia’s oldest and largest plumbing contractors. Today, we proudly deliver residential, commercial, industrial, maintenance and construction plumbing services across metropolitan Adelaide, backed by a team of highly skilled tradespeople and support staff.

Built on Trust Since 1952
Hall & Baum was founded in 1952 by two colleagues, Brian Baum and Malcolm Hall, who had worked together as plumbers for Hansen Yuncken.
Recognising the opportunities created by Adelaide’s post-war housing boom, they set out to build a plumbing company known for reliability, hard work and exceptional service.
Starting from a house in Parkside, the business quickly earned a reputation for quality workmanship and honest advice. As demand grew, Hall & Baum relocated to larger premises in Camden Park in 1956 and continued to expand its services across South Australia.
What began as a residential construction business evolved into a full-service plumbing company serving homes, businesses, industrial facilities, government organisations and major construction projects.
Today, more than seven decades later, Hall & Baum remains proudly South Australian owned and operated.
Three Generations of Plumbing Excellence
Hall & Baum is now led by third-generation family members and cousins, Ryan Baum and Rachel McGregor-Dey, who continue to uphold the values that have guided the business since its inception.
As custodians of a family business with a proud history, Ryan and Rachel understand that Hall & Baum’s reputation has been built over generations through hard work, integrity and a commitment to doing the right thing by customers.
Their vision is simple: to honour the legacy of those who came before them while continuing to evolve, innovate and provide industry-leading plumbing solutions for future generations.
Today, Hall & Baum employs more than 90 dedicated team members, including licensed plumbers, electricians, apprentices and professional support staff. Together, they share a common commitment to delivering quality outcomes and exceptional customer service on every project.
