This Burnside ensuite was doing the owners no favours. A shower sat over an unused bath, the green tiles dated the whole room, and a bulky vanity made an already tight space feel smaller still. They wanted something calmer and far easier to clean.
The win here was in the layout. By removing the bath and rethinking where each fixture sat, we freed up enough room for a proper frameless walk-in shower with a linear floor drain — no step, no shower screen to scrub, and a single continuous tiled floor that makes the room read much larger.
A wall-hung toilet and a floating vanity keep the floor clear and the look clean, while re-running the plumbing to suit the new positions means everything sits exactly where it should. The result is an ensuite that feels close to twice the size without moving a single wall.
